Yoga Instructor (Restorative)
Kara Bemis is a yoga instructor, movement educator, and longtime practitioner based in Jamestown, New York. She has practiced yoga for more than 20 years and has been teaching for over a decade, with training in Hatha-Vinyasa, classical Hatha, and yoga therapy. Her teaching emphasizes alignment, joint safety, breath, intention, and the relationship between physical practice and mental focus, creating classes that are grounding, accessible, and supportive for a wide range of students.
Through Kara Bemis Yoga, she has taught classes, workshops, and pop-up offerings throughout the Jamestown area, including programming with Sukanya Burman Dance and Yoga with the Birds at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute. Her work often reflects a connection between movement, wellness, nature, and sustainability, inviting students to approach yoga as both a physical practice and a way to build greater awareness, steadiness, and connection.
